Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich helped his Bayern side to the semi-finals of the DFB Pokal on the finest of margins, with a 1-0 win at the VELTINS-Arena.
The midfielder who can play at right-back too was forced to play at center-back last night with coach Hansi Flick forced to play without a natural center-back due to injuries.
Kimmich had a rather incredible game this evening:

The Bayern boss played a back two pairing of Joshua Kimmich and David Alaba and it worked, because they came away with a win and a clean sheet.
There were problems upfront too with injured Robert Lewandowski out, and Thomas Muller had to fill in as the striker. This was a tough call because the team’s only major scoring chances came from set-pieces, and by the 60th minute, the Bavarians were playing possession ball.
In the other match, Saarbrucken beat Fortuna Dusseldorf 7-6 on penalties to get to the semis too.
There will be two fixtures today, with Bayer Leverkusen hosting Union Berlin, and Eintracht Frankfurt playing Werder Bremen at the Commerzbank-Arena in Frankfurt.
