Victor Wanyama posts message to Spurs after move to MLS with Impact Montreal

Montreal Impact has confirmed the signing of Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama from Tottenham Hotspur, and the 28-year-old has now joined Thierry Henry's side.

The London-based club announced last night that they had reached a deal with the MLS side, and Wanyama has signed a three-year contract with the club.

Wanyama who was with Tottenham since 2016- with prior signatures at Southampton, Celtic and Beerschot across Europe - has now posted a message to his former and current side on Twitter, as he looks to start a new chapter in his career.

In a press release earlier, Wanyama said: "When I spoke to Thierry [Henry] and he told me he wanted me to join him in Montreal, I didn’t have to think twice. He has always been a player that I’ve admired, and I am really happy to get the opportunity to work with him and to play a part that can ensure that the Montreal Impact have an improved season and hopefully reach the ultimate stages of the competitions in which we compete.”

The Harambee Stars captain made 97 appearances for Spurs in all competitions scoring seven times.

We at Futaa wish him all the best!
