Georgian based midfielder John Macharia is currently training with Kenyan Premier League side Wazito FC.
Macharia’s contract with FC Guria came to an end last season with the player having had trained with Georgia Liga 2 side FC Rustavi although a deal wasn’t struck.
Speaking to Futaa, Macharia said he was back in the country for some time and will be hoping to secure a deal with an unnamed side come June.
“The Georgia experience has been good. I have grown as a player and a human being and I intend to use those lessons in my next step. Currently, I'm keeping fit with Wazito and that should continue until June. My handler is working on my next step and I am confident that by June I'll be back in action,” Macharia said.
Macharia moved to Georgia in 2017 where he was snapped by Pohti from National Super League side FC Talanta; the club having been home to midfielder Amos Nondi (now at Dila Gori) and Eric ‘Marcelo’ Ouma (now at AIK).
The former Kenya U20 midfielder featured for Guria last season but failed to renew his contract with the team he joined from Kolkheti Pohti.
