Kais Zouaghi has been sacked as Etoile du Sahel coach just after three weeks on the job.
The club on Tuesday announced that the former Tunisia international will leave his position with immediate effect. The decision was taken after a string of poor results including the elimination from CAF Confederation Cup by Wydad Casablanca coached by former Etoile coach Juan Carlos Garrido.
Etoile was also dumped out of Tunisia Cup by ES Metlaoui, which proved to be the last straw that broke the camel's back.
The club at the same time announced that Naoufel Chebil and Imed Ben Younes will step in as interim manager until the end of the season.
The former Tunisian champions will welcome the suspension of football activities in the country due to the coronavirus pandemic and use the break to restrategise as they hope to get their campaign on track.
