Paris Saint-Germain teammates Neymar and Thiago have jetted back to Brazil as coronavirus pandemic forces France into a strick lockdown regime.
The Globo newspaper reports that the pair flew out of France hours after French President Emmanuel Macron imposed a 15-day mandatory isolation order on citizens in a bid to contain the spread of the highly contagious virus.
The presidential decree, that came into effect on Tuesday, means that people can only leave their homes for groceries and medicine, or to exercise.
Football activities in France and across Europe have been suspended as the virus disrupts global sporting activities. PSG have not played since defeating Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League round of 16 on March 11.
More than 7,000 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus in France while there have been over 300 confirmed cases in Brazil.
