Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski has joined other football stars helping the fight against Coronavirus with a 1m euros donation.
The Poland international further sent out a plea for help to anyone in a position to donate however little they can, as it will go a long way.
"We are all aware of the difficult situation," Lewandowski told Bild.
"Today we all play in a team. Let us be strong in this fight. If we can help someone, let's do it.
"This situation affects every one of us, so we ask you to follow the instructions and listen to those who know best. Be responsible," he added.
He joins Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha in extending a kind gesture to the fight against the virus after the winger offered free accommodation to medics handling patients suffering from the virus.
