Cesc Fabregas slams Arsenal fan over controversial image

Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas has slammed an Arsenal fan who criticised him over an image from his playing days at Chelsea.

Fabregas was branded a snake by Twitter user @afcjaybrady who accused him of “throwing the club under the bus” in a reply to a post by an Arsenal blog.

He then posted a picture of Fabregas from his time at Chelsea, accusing him of patting the Blues’ badge following a win over Arsenal at the Emirates but Fabregas was not going to go without a reply.

Fabregas said: “If you think I’m capable of doing what you are suggesting I did, you don’t know me at all and my feelings towards all of you (Arsenal fans) what so ever.

“I was actually telling the fans they will always be in my heart, but of course your interpretation must be miss guided (sic] by a simple image.”

The midfielder spent eight years at the Emirates and was a popular figure before forcing through a move to Barcelona in 2011.

Fabregas spent three years at the Nou Camp, securing the La Liga title in 2012/13 before returning to the Premier League with Chelsea in 2014.

At Chelsea, he won two domestic titles and the FA Cup with the Blues before leaving for the French side Monaco in January 2019.
