Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg has returned to training, despite the spread of the Coronavirus.
Germany continues to record high cases of the deadly virus, which has since seen all major leagues postponed as one way of preventing further spread.
But as the world moves to contain the situation, the Bundesliga side announced on Sunday that they will be back in training starting on Monday, 23rd March, albeit under special conditions.
“As matters stand, matches will resume after 2 April,” said VfL Managing Director Jörg Schmadtke.
"Even though that seems unrealistic, we need to take note of that and adapt to it.”
According to the statement, the players will start their sessions in small groups and under the supervision of head coach Oliver Glasner.
The sessions will strictly be carried out at the gym until further notice.
Even though there are no widespread cases of players testing positive in the Bundesliga, a number of players in the Bundesliga 2 were found with the virus.
