English Premier League sides Arsenal and Liverpool are monitoring Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka.
The France U-21 international has been attracting interest from a number of European clubs before football across the continent was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
British sports TV channel Sky Sports reports that the two Premiership rivals are the only clubs that have shown strong interest in the French defender and might table an offer as soon as football resumes.
Other clubs that have reportedly sent scouts to watch the left-footed defender include Valencia, Sevilla and the two Milan clubs.
The 20-year-old joined Frankfurt from Auxerre for around £5m in the summer of 2018 and has made 14 starts in the Bundesliga this season. He could now be set for a big move with Arsenal and Liverpool likely be in the market for a new centre-back during the summer transfer window.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is believed to have identified that position as a particular area of concern. He brought in Pablo Mari in winter on loan and they have an option of making his stay permanent in summer.
