News out of Kumasi reports Samuel Akurugu has shaken hands with King Faisal Babies FC as the club’s new footballer.
The former Hearts of Oak goalkeeper joins the ‘In Sha Allah’ boys until the end of the season and with relegation survival as the major objective.
“Struggling Ghana Premier League side King Faisal Babies FC have completed the signing of former Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Samuel Akurugu.
“The ex-Hasaacas goalie has been in Kumasi for since last week training with the club,” reported Kasapa FM.
Akurugu’s last employment was out in Japan with lower division side Ococias Kyoto. Akurugu's previous clubs also include Nigeria's Rivers United and Sekondi Hasaacas FC.
