The nation of Ghana remembers Opoku Afriyie with the two iconic goals he scored in the AFCON 1978 final triumph.
As reported here on Futaa this morning, Afriyie sadly passed away on Sunday at the age of 75.
The former Black Stars, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak strikes leaves behind the timeless memory of leading Ghana in the 2-0 win over Uganda to become African champions.
Afriyie’s prolific goal-scoring was further proven by clinching the Ghana Premier League’s golden boot in 1971 and 1980.
