German-born Ghanaian Kwasi Okyere Wriedt is making his way to Dutch Eredivisie side Willem II Tilburg in a bid to revive his national team career, Ghanasoccernet reported.
Wriedt is set to leave Bayern Munich II at the end of the 2019/20 season; he has signed a new deal that will see him remain in the Netherlands until the summer of 2023.
The 25-year-old revealed why he did not choose to move to another Bundesliga side and how the move will help him going forward.
"The discussions with the club were simply outstanding," Wriedt said. "It is the best way to take the next step.''
Wriedt made his Ghana national debut in 2018 when he came off the bench in a 2-0 friendly win against Japan.
"I haven't definitely closed off the chapter, I would like to work my way back."
