Celtic register interest in Legia Warsaw defender Michal Karbownik

Celtic have reportedly entered the race to acquire the services of Legia Warsaw defender Michal Karbownik, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur according to The Daily Record.

The Sunday Mirror revealed that Spurs have been monitoring Karbownik and have been in talks with his team for close to a year.

Despite several clubs interested in the 19year-old, reports claim that Celtic boss Neil Lennon is pushing for the move to be finalised as he looks to add another full-back to his ranks.

Karbownik has been a breakout star this season, providing six assists from 19 league appearances; he also happens to be versatile in his style of play.

Spurs on the other hand, were told they would need to pay a lump sum of £10m for his services and if The Hoops were to sign, it would be a yet another record signing and it could break their bank.
