Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas have revealed that eight people between the staff and squad have tested positive for Covid19.
The coronavirus pandemic has affected football across the world where most leagues were brought to a halt until a safer time deemed for return.
Besiktas announced that club president Ahmet Nur Cebi had contracted the virus then blanket tests revealed across the entire team that eight positive results were picked up.
They have been quarantined as per the medical protocol, as the Turkish Super Lig is set to resume on June 12.
Turkey has officially recorded 143,114 cases of the new coronavirus while 3,952 people have died, according to the health minister on Wednesday.
