Leeds United's €5m deal for Cyle Larin fails to materialise due to Covid19 financial crisis

Leeds United's possible move for Canadian striker Cyle Larin has reportedly collapsed due to the coronavirus pandemic that has brought on financial strains on several clubs.

According to reports, Leeds had agreed on a deal that would bring Larin to the club next season but that has failed to materialise.

As per Sport Witness, Zulte Waregem had agreed to active the option-to-buy clause and then sell him to Leeds to boost their finances

However after the Eredivisie season was called off, Zulte Waregem decided not to sign Larin and therefore their deal with Leeds falls off the table.

The Canada international had been a transfer target for Leeds for over a year and Turkish publication Milliyet had reported that Leeds were offering €5m for his signature.

Besiktas who is currently on loan at Turkish Super Lig club Besiktas has scored nine goals and provided 11 assists across all competitions this season - he is contracted to the side until June 2022.
