Arsenal will table a £23 million bid to Feyenoord for their highly-rated 21-year old midfielder Orkun Kokcu.
According to Dutch publication Voetbal International, Mikel Arteta is looking to boost his attacking options ahead of next season following the uncertainties surrounding the future of some of his players.
They are looking for young players who will be at the club for a longer period and with the effect of coronavirus set to bite on club finances, Arsenal will be doing all they can to get the right players at the right price.
Orkun Kokcu has built a reputation with the Dutch giants this season where he has scored three goals and provide 6 assists in 35 appearances this season.
The player is a dead ball specialist too and is seen as a perfect replacement for Aaron Ramsey who left the club for Juventus last summer.
With Dani Ceballos set to return to real Madrid and the future of Mesut Ozil still a subject of speculation, Kokcu is seen as a perfect player who can help boost the Gunners side.
Over the recent seasons, Arsenal has had a tendency of roping in young players and promoting the others from their academy.
They have roped William Saliba, Kieran Tierney, Matteo Guendouzi and Gabriel Martinelli while promoting the likes of Ainsely Maitland-Niles, Bukayo Saka, Joe Willock, Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah; all being part of the club’s first team.
