Cyriel Dessers is moving from the Netherlands to join his boyhood club KRC Genk in Belgium.
Desserts, who recently acquired his Nigerian citizenship as a Belgian-born player, earned the deal after delivering 18 goals and six assists in 29 games for Heracles Almelo.
The reports say the 25-year-old striker also caught the interest of Serie A’s Torino as well as Feyenoord in the Netherlands.
“As a little boy you dream of the biggest things, I dreamed of KRC Genk,” Dessers posted on social media.
“Thank you, the Netherlands for the four wonderful years, Special thanks to the fans of Heracles Almelo and FC Utrecht,” concluded the message.
Dessers also adds to two other Nigerian footballers at his new club: Paul Onuachu and Stephen Odey.
