Manchester United, City, Wolves could miss out on summer break due to European campaigns

Manchester City, Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly set to miss the start of next season and possibly to summer break due to their delayed European tournaments.

Premier League clubs are set to hold a video conference in a bid to discuss the 202/21 season and decide when the league can start the new campaign.

According to The Sun, the league is considering the weekends of August 22 and 29 as well as September 12 but those are all up for discussion.

Some Premier League clubs are eyeing the Septemeber date which seems realistic in terms of preparations for the new season.

There is also talk that others prefer the August date which will mean City, United and Wolves will not be joining the other clubs when they start the new campaign - that is dependable if the Champions League and Europa League will go beyond that August weekend.

UEFA plan to stage the Europa League final in Cologne on August 21 and the Champions League final in Lisbon two days later.
