Manchester United winger Tahith Chong is set to move to Germany with Werder Bremen said to be interested in his services.
Chong signed a new deal with United months ago but the club feels that he should be loaned out in order to fasten his development.
After being linked with a move to Inter in January, Weser Kurier now reports that the player is being looked at as a potential replacement for Milot Rashica who is being linked with a move away from the club.
Frank Baumann, the Sporting Director of Werder Bremen said of the potential signing of the Dutchman: “He (Chong) is very fast, coming from the outside – it fits in terms of profile”. Borrowing guys from top clubs like this can make sense to us. Because of our situation (Bremen’s financial situation), he’s a player who could be interesting.”
Further reports indicate that Werder Bremen isn’t the only club interested in the player as Dutch side Fayernood and a series of clubs in the Championship are angling to take the player in.
