European Roundup: Ramos saves Madrid blushes as Vidal debut in Inter comeback win

Sergio Ramos scored a late penalty as Real Madrid recorded a 3-2 win over Real Betis in a Laliga match on Saturday night.

The visitors thought they had taken a fifth-minute lead through Karim Benzema but his goal was ruled out for offside. It wasn’t long though before the visitors were ahead, as Fede Valverde opened his account for the season.

Betis however equalized through Mandi who ghosted in at the back post and headed in from a Sergio Canales cross. The home side quickly completed their turnaround as Carvalho fired in past Courtois to make it 2-1.

Madrid, however, equalized on 48 minutes though an Emerson own goal. A bad night for Emerson got even worse as he was sent off and then Sergio Ramos chipped in a penalty to give his side their first win of the season.

The visitors had taken a third-minute lead through Christian Kouame but Lautaro Martinez ensured that the game was tied heading into the half time break with a goal late in the first half.

Federico Ceccherini then put Inter into the lead with an own goal but two goals from Gaetano Castrovili and Federico Chiesa ensured that Fiorentina restored their lead. Romelu Lukaku and Ambrosini, however, had other plans as two goals from Inter, in a span of two minutes saw the host walk away with the entire points.
