Friday offers up a host of friendlies from around the world and we've picked out action involving Cameroon, Nigeria, Algeria, Morocco & Senegal to get our teeth into before the weekend.
Here are mini-previews of three highlighted fixtures and our best betting picks.
🇯🇵🇨🇲 Japan vs Cameroon
Playing for the first time in nearly ten months, Japan will hope to continue their impressive 78.13% undefeated record against African teams (W19, D6, L7). The Samurai Blue has won seven of their last ten friendlies against African sides (W7, D1, L2), scoring two or more goals in each win. Those free-scoring ways will come under scrutiny here. 19 of Cameroon's 23 matches since the start of 2018 have produced under 2.5 total match goals, whilst 13 ended with under 1.5.
✅ TIP: Under 2.5 goals
🇳🇬🇩🇿 Nigeria vs Algeria
Nigeria and Algeria will take to field for the first time in almost a year on Friday night as the pair prepare to lock horns for an international friendly at Jacques Lemans Arena in Austria. The Fennec Foxes became champions of Africa in 2018 and defeated Nigeria's Super Eagles in the semifinal en route to winning the AFCON trophy. Both sides have travelled with strong squads here although Nigeria will be minus star Napoli forward Victor Osimhen. These sides could cancel one another out as they fine-tune preparations for competitive tests to come.
✅ TIP: Draw
🇲🇦🇸🇳 Morocco vs Senegal
These nations are both in action for the first time since November 2019 and, surprisingly, this will be their first head-to-head since 2012. Moroccan winger Hakim Ziyech has travelled and might play some part despite not yet making his Chelsea debut this season. Senegal superstar Sadio Mane hasn't travelled and that makes Vahid Halilhodzic's men the favourites, with their Bosnian boss looking for a third consecutive win.
✅ TIP: Over 1.5 goals
