Brighton & Hove Albion manager Graham Potter insists that the fans should not put too much pressure on new signing Danny Welbeck.
Alexis MacAllister scored the equaliser to help the Seagulls secure a point but it made sense why the club made a move for Welbeck who had been a free agent prior to the signing.
“It’s a bit unfair to expect one individual to solve all our problems," Potter said via The Argus.
“We have actually done quite a lot well. We have created some chances, we have scored goals.
“It’s up to the team to score goals and it’s up to the team to keep balls out of the net.
“Danny brings his own qualities, that I don’t think we have got.
“He is a big, tall, running forward that wants to run towards goal, which is a little bit different to the attributes we have got in the group.
“As a character and a person he is a top guy who wants to play in the Premier League and wants to help us in our journey going forward.”
