Barcelona picked maximum points at Allianz Stadium on Wednesday evening following a 2-0 victory over Juventus.
Ousmane Dembele's deflected opener and Lionel Messi's late penalty did the damage. Merih Demiral was sent off for the hosts with around 10 minutes to play, but they were second-best to the visitors for long periods anyway.
It took Barcelona fourteen minutes to take the lead through Ousmane Dembele. Lionel Messi picked out the Frenchman with a superb cross-field pass. Dembele drove at the Juve defence and then fired at goal. His shot looped up over Chiesa and gave Szczesny no chance.
Juventus had an almost instant response as Morata burst into the box. Neto made a brilliant one-handed save to deny the Spaniard and although Morata tucked in the rebounded, it appeared to have come off his hand.
In the 30th minute, Morata was denied again for an offside flag. He got in ahead of Araujo to meet Cuadrado's cross but the flag was rightly raised.
In the second half, Morata had the ball in the net again, but once again the goal didn't count as he was flagged offside. There was a quick VAR check and the goal didn't start.
Juventus were reduced to ten men as Demiral was sent off for a foul on Busquests. He left his foot in on Busquests and rightly picked up his second yellow.
In the stoppage time, Barcelona were handed a penalty following Bernardeschi's awful challenge on Fati. Captain fantastic Lionel Messi stepped up and made no mistake as he scored the second of the evening.
