Manchester City’s Phil Foden entered England record books following his brace in his country’s 4-0 win over Iceland on Wednesday night.
Foden who was returning to the national team setup following their much-publicized problems with Man United’s Mason Greenwood started the game in a young-looking England side.
In the game, Declan Rice put the Gareth Southgate the lead with Mason Mount doubling their lead before Foden completed the rout with two late goals.
In scoring the goals, Foden became the youngest player in the history of the England national team to score more than once in a game at Wembley.
Attention for the player now turns to club duty where Man City will be up against Tottenham when the Premier League returns this week.
