England won its last UEFA Nations League group game with a classy performance over Iceland at Wembley on Wednesday night.
In what was a dead-rubber after England lost to Belgium earlier in the week to lose a semi-final place, the young squad did the business in some style. The Three Lions shot ahead for 2-0 inside 24 minutes with West Ham’s Declan Rice and Chelsea’s Mason Mount.
Man City’s Phil Foden killed the contest with a late brace with goals on the 82 and 84 minutes.
