Bandari started their FKL Premier League season on a good note after beating Sofapaka FC 1-0 on Saturday, in a match staged at Mbaraki Sports Club.
Hassan Abdalla scored the only goal in the first half, helping Bandari to claim maximum points against visiting Sofapaka.
The hosts had a good start to the game, controlling the possession in early exchanges. The first chance came for Bandari as Yema Mwama delivered a pass to Kingatua, who took a long shot but went straight to Kevin Omondi.
Minutes later, Bandari took the lead through Hassan Abdallah, who scored with a beauty, putting the ball past Sofapaka's goalkeeper on the left corner.
In the second half, Sofapaka continued to chase for an equalizer and finally found the back of the net through Kepha Aswani's well-taken header, which went past Ndikumana. However, the goal could not count as lines man had his flag up for offside.
AFC Leopards 2-1 Tusker
Elsewhere, AFC Leopards came from a goal down to beat Tusker FC 2-1 in an FKF Premier League game staged.
Tusker took the lead in the 22nd minute through David Majak who beat Oyemba to hand the visitors the lead. Four minutes later, Leopards pulled the scores level through Kamura Robinson.
