Former Senegal international Papa Bouba Diop has died aged 42 following a long illness.
The midfielder scored the only goal as Senegal shocked the world during the 2002 World Cup after beating defending champions France.
They then went all the way to the quarter-finals, losing out to Turkey.

Diop had stints in top European clubs, spending time at Fulham, Racing Club de Lens Portsmouth, West Ham United, and Birmingham City.
He eventually retired in 2013, having featured in four Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, including when Senegal lost in the finals in 2002.
In total, Diop amassed 65 caps with the Lions of Teranga and is regarded as one of the best midfielders the country ever produced.
