🇦🇷 Napoli launch new special edition kit for Maradona as tribute

Serie A club Napoli expressed another special farewell to fallen club icon Diego Maradona on Sunday night.

The Naples giants unveiled a new ‘Maradona’ kit before kick off, and went on to duly beat Roma 4-0 in a Serie A game yesterday night.

"Our hope was that Diego would be able to see it, perhaps even wear it and share in our excitement about it," said Napoli’s statement as shared by Football Italia.

"The Kombat jersey that the players will don tonight (on Sunday) will have an even greater significance than initially intended."

The Italian giants will be next in action against Dutch side AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.
