Leeds striker Bamford reveals that coach Bielsa wants him to study Haaland

Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has revealed that manager Marcelo Bielsa has encouraged him to watch Borussia Dortmund star Erling Halaand.

Bamford who has been the main man for Leeds in their maiden season back in the Premier League in an interview with on the Ornstein and Chapman podcast admitted that the Argentine has sent him videos of the Norwegian to help in his learning process.

“Throughout the week you get sent various things. Sometimes you get clips of the defender you will be playing against.

“The last three weeks I had two or three videos sent every day of Erling Haaland, like 15 minutes each one. I had to watch them and see what I could pick out from him," Bamford said.

The English striker netted against his former employees Chelsea FC in the weekend and according to him, the goal was similar to some of the goals that had been scored by Haaland.

“To be honest it was quite similar to some of his goals. I think I can work on the explosiveness of some of my runs sometimes. Sometimes I make a run without 100 per cent determination or conviction," he added.

The 27-year-old has scored eight goals thus far this season and will hope to add to his tally when Leeds take on West Ham in their next league game.
