Mesut Ozil's agent Erkut Sogut has revealed the midfielder wants to stay at Arsenal and see out the rest of his contract despite being cast aside by Mikel Arteta.
Ozil was omitted from Arsenal's Premier League and Europa League squad this season and rumors have it that the midfielder could leave in January. Sogut admits a number of clubs are chasing for Ozil's signature but Germany remains loyal to the north London side.
"Even one day is a long time in football, you never know. Of course, there are many clubs interested in him," he told Tuttomercatoweb when asked if Ozil will leave in January.
"This has never changed but his willingness to honour his contract and play hasn't changed either. He's a man of his word, loyal, and loyalty is hard to find in these times.
"[Ozil] loves the club and the fans and is deeply sorry that he has not been given a chance this season."
The 32-year-old, who is the club's highest earner with a contract worth £350,000 per week, will see his current deal expire in the summer.
