The South African attacking midfielder played his first game for Brighton after returning from his loan spell at Anderlecht midweek.
The Seagulls played to a 1-1 draw with lower division side Newport County before winning the game 4-3 on penalties.

The 26-year-old Tau came on just before the full 30 minutes of extra time, where he nearly found a winner but his right shot flew inches over the bar.
Meanwhile, the Bafana Bafana star could make his Premier League debut against the mighty Manchester City on Wednesday night at the Etihad.
