Manchester City to miss five key players against Brighton

Pep Guardiola has confirmed Manchester City will miss the services of five players when they take on Brighton in a Premier League tie.

Sergio Aguero continues to isolate after the Argentine came into contact with someone who had tested positive for coronavirus despite testing negative himself. The 32-year-old wasn't part of the City team that beat Birmingham City on Sunday in the FA Cup/

"Quarantine. [We will follow] the rules, when after nine or ten days he will be back," said Guardiola on Aguero's availability.

Guardiola also revealed that Aymeric Laporte and Nathan Ake remain on the sidelines with injuries while Eric Garcia and Cole Palmer are still in isolation after testing positive for COVID-19.

"Laporte is injured, Nathan is injured. Eric is solitary, Cole palmer is solitary. The rest maybe I forget someone but the rest are okay."

Raheem Sterling has no injury concern after he was left out of the matchday squad against Birmingham City.
