Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has explained his squad selection as they play away to Liverpool in the biggest match of the season so far.
Solskjaer made three changes to the starting team, starting with a four-man midfield featuring Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes, Fred, and Scott McTominay.
Speaking ahead of the match, Solskajer sought to explain his team selection;
“This is a game that I think we need the energy of Scott [McTominay] and Fred,” he told MUTV.
“I thought Nemanja and Paul were incredible in the last game, in midfield, but this is a different game.
“We want different options in front of them and wanted Paul [Pogba] one step up higher up the pitch. Victor has been training this week to get ready for this game and be prepared. I just gave him the Burnley game off.
“It was more of a cramp from working hard for the team for Anthony. You know when he comes off with a cramp, he was giving everything for the team. He's ready.”
Man United team;

Subs: Henderson, Bailly, Tuanzebe, Telles, Matic, Mata, van de Beek, Cavani, Greenwood
