Why Bruno Fernandes was substituted against Liverpool

Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed why midfielder Bruno Fernandes didn’t finish their Sunday game against Liverpool.

The impactful Portuguese has looked tired in recent games for United and was withdrawn in injury time for Mason Greenwood and according to Solskjaer maintained that it was a tactical decision.

"It was a tactical decision. Bruno has been running his socks off for us in every single game since he came here. Running, more or less, every game. Towards the end, I felt Paul's physical presence in there might be a chance for us.

"Mason (Greenwood), you know if he gets a chance he can score in the blink of a second. But it was a throw of the dice to get Mason on, even though he had to defend against Robertson," Solskjaer is quoted by the club’s website.

United played to a scoreless draw against Liverpool and looked a better side in the second half where they had a chance to nick in the three points were it not for the heroics of keeper Alisson Becker.
