Former Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has officially kicked a ball in training as a Fenerbahce footballer.
As reported on this website last week, the 32-year-old Ozil left Arsenal after seven years to rejoin his boyhood club Fenerbahce in Turkey on a surprising three-and-half-year deal.
While Ozil’s early years at Arsenal from Real Madrid was a rosy time where he became one of the club’s most gifted attacking midfielders, the final chapters ended under dark clouds as Ozil’s workrate was questioned by former coach Unai Emery, as later the current man in charge, Mikel Arteta.
The four-time FA Cup winner, World Cup champion and LaLiga winner has now begun his new life at Sarı Kanaryalar (The Yellow Canaries).

Meanwhile the Turkish giants are placed second in Super Lig with four points behind Besiktas after 20 games.
Ozil could make his debut this weekend at home to Rizespor.
