European Roundup: Lewandowski hattrick stun Dortmund as Barcelona goes top

Robert Lewandowski bagged a hat-trick as Bayern Munich came from two goals down to beat Borussia Dortmund 4-2 at home on Saturday night.

Norwegian teen Erling Haaland had given Dortmund a 75 seconds lead when he zipped a low deflected strike beyond Manuel Neuer before tapping in from close range on nine minutes.

Lewandowski pounced moments later to pull one back by turning in a low Leroy Sané cross and by half-time, the sides were level through the Polish striker again. A VAR check showed Mo Dahoud had fouled Kingsley Coman in the area and the Pole stepped up to calmly tuck away from the penalty spot.

Leon Goretzka was to pounce on a slack Meunier clearance to volley in via the upright before Lewandowski bagged his 20th goal of the season with a low drive to take his side back to the top of Bundesliga.

Lazio took the lead when Joaquin Correa turned Merih Demiral inside-out before slotting the ball into the bottom corner but Rabiot restored parity Adrien Rabiot when a Morata clever pass found the Frenchman in the box and he was on hand to smash the ball past Pepe Reina.

Federico Chiesa set the Spaniard away in the box and he set himself before cooly placing the ball home with his second and Juve’s third coming from the penalty spot after Adam Marušić had fouled Aaron Ramsey.
