Arsenal have entered the race to sign West Ham United midfielder Jesse Lingard.
Lingard who is on a loan deal at the London Stadium is expected to leave parent club Manchester United on a permanent deal in the summer with a lot of clubs already monitoring the situation.
There have been reports of a potential swap deal between United and West Ham involving Lingard and Declan Rice but according to Metro, Arsenal are set to table a £25 million bid for the player having signed from United in the previous season.
28-year-old Lingard has scored 6 goals in just 8 games for his club, pushing the Irons to fourth in the Premier League table with just 8 games to go and with one year remaining on his United deal, the club is set to listen to offers for the player as they have numerous talents in his current position in the team.
Apart from Arsenal and West Ham, a chunk of teams is said to be monitoring the player’s situation and are willing to pounce on the opportunity to sign him. Should the Hammers qualify for the Champions League then, there is a thought, that the club might beat anyone to the England international signature.
