Man United on verge of matching long-standing Premier League record

Manchester United are on course to match a long-standing Premier Leaguer record should they avoid defeat in the final three away games of the 2020/21 season.

The Red Devils extended their unbeaten run on the road to 23 games following their 3-1 win at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

If they remain unbeaten through the season, United will join Preston North End (1888/89) and Arsenal (2001/02 and 2003/04) as the only sides to have gone for a whole season without losing an away match.

At the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, United trailed 1-0 at half-time courtesy of a Son Heung-min goal but staged a brilliant comeback to win 3-1.

Fred started the comeback with a 57th-minute equalizer, before Edinson Cavani gave them the lead in the 80th minute.

Mason Greenwood then sealed the win deep in added time to give United a deserved win and avenge their 6-1 loss in the reverse fixture.
