🇵🇹 Clarified: Reasons for Mourinho's sacking

Tottenham Hotspur's former manager Jose Mourinho has not left the club over the UEFA Super League protest.

As reported here on Futaa on Monday, Mourinho was sacked after just 17-months in North London. Reports soon followed that the Portguese was shown the door for standing against the controversial UEFA Super League launch.

According to leading European reporter Fabrizio Romano, ‘The Special One’ has been fired for failing to deliver results that merit the club’s quality squad.

"José Mourinho sacking is not linked to Super League... and he’s never refused to take training today. He’s been fired because of results and no nothing else," Romano posted on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Spurs will face Manchester City in the League Cup final on 1 May.
