Yves Bissouma drops transfer clue on Instagram

Arsenal are said to be the frontrunners in the race to sign Yves Bissouma.

Yves Bissouma of Brighton and Hove Albion has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal this summer. This summer, the 24-year-old has made an impression under Graham Potter, drawing attention from a host of Premier League clubs.

Everton, West Ham United, and Tottenham Hotspur have all made inquiries about signing Bissouma, according to the Daily Star. However, according to the article, the Gunners are in the lead.

Arsenal fan account @afcstuff posted an Instagram story about the report on Monday and Bissouma was one of those who viewed the story.

They shared a screenshot with the caption: "Interesting viewer on our Instagram story this morning after reports that Arsenal believe they are close to winning the race to sign Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma."

Potter is optimistic that Bissouma will remain at Brighton, but he believes the midfielder is capable of playing at a higher level and has acknowledged that he could leave.

"He has certainly improved," Potter said. "The exciting thing for Yves is he can improve some more. "He’s not at the top. But he’s got incredible potential and incredible talent. "He’s got the attributes to play midfield in any game in the world.

"Like any player, we have to be honest and sensible enough to know that if [they are] good enough to play at that level and [have] that opportunity, then we shouldn’t be scared of that.

"Clearly there is a consequence for that in terms of transfer fees etc but that’s something out of our control and my control but it’s nothing for us to feel negative of, it should be a feeling of pride.

"At the same time, Yves is happy, enjoying his football, enjoys his life.

"He knows he’s in an environment here that people care for him, that look after him, that want the best for him, so he’s in a really, really good position.
