Brighton and Hove Albion combative midfielder Yves Bissouma has submitted a transfer request ahead of a potential summer move.
Bissouma is attracting interest from some of the best teams in Europe but it is believed that Liverpool is ahead in the queue as they see him as a perfect replacement for Gini Wijnaldum who is said to be on his way to Barcelona.
The Times now reports that the Malian wants to leave the Ammex in the summer with Arsenal, Manchester City and Ligue 1 giants Marseille all interested in his services. While Arsenal wants someone to boost their midfielder options, City wants a replacement for midfielder Fernandinho whose contract with the Pep Guardiola side expires at the end of the season.
The player who has now submitted his request won’t come cheap though as his club got him for £15 million back in 2018 from French side Lille. There are reports that he would cost anyone a sum in the region of £40 million with his side ready to sell if they can get the money.
The player who started his career with AS Real Bamako of Mali has 13 caps for his national team scoring three goals in the process.
