Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, believes his team is yet to get the very best of Willian.
The superbly talented Brazilian forward surprisingly rejected a new deal from his former side Chelsea last season, before completing a move across London to Arsenal as a free agent.
But things have not exactly gone as expected for the 32-year-old star. With hardly any injuries, Willian has only delivered one goal and five assists in 25 league games.
"Willi, we have to [demand high standards] because he’s done it in the past and we have to demand it much more," Arteta told BT Sport, as cited by Goal.
"He’s done it for many years and achieved big things in the game. Somehow this season we haven’t managed to get the best out of him.
"It’s true that he had some spells that we could see highlights of things he can do and today was a good example of that,” Arteta concluded.
Coming up next for the Gunners is a trip to London to battle the fearsome Chelsea on Wednesday.
