Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez is set to sign a new deal with the club.
The Argentine has heavily been linked with a move to Barcelona and admitted that he almost moved to Camp Nou last summer but according to the player in the latest interview with Sky Sports as carried by Dario Sport, Inter has offered a new deal and he will sign it.
“I’m very happy at Inter and I have no plans to leave,” he said. “The contract [on the table] will be signed,” he said.
Lautaro has been an important figure at Inter this season and their formidable partnership with Romelu Lukaku has been lauded as one of the reasons they won the Serie A title.
The Argentine striker who has 16 goals and contributed eight assists in 36 league appearances this campaign current contract with Inter is set to expire in the summer of 2023 with his current value being at €70m according to figures on Transfermarkt.
Apart from Barcelona, the player had been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid in recent weeks.
