Tottenham keeping tabs on Italy midfielder Manuel Locatelli

Italy international Manuel Locatelli is attracting interest from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.

Locatelli shined in Italy's opening Euro game against Turkey where they emerged 3-0 winners and according to Gazzetta, newly appointed spurs director Fabio Paratici could make a move for the 23-year-old this summer.

Locatelli has been one of the breakout stars in Serie this past season, sparking interest from across Europe with Manchester City, Chelsea, Juventus, Real Madrid, and Arsenal amongst the other clubs said to be keeping tabs on the midfielder.

The report adds that Juventus is the preferred destination for the midfielder but he would not deny himself the opportunity to play abroad with his current deal with Sassuolo ending in the summer of 2023.

Sassuolo would be willing to sell the player if their asking price is met with the club wanting a fee of around €40 million to allow him to leave the club; the player having bagged four goals and three assists last term.

Should Locatelli impress in Euros as he did in their first game, Sassuolo might increase his price as he won't be short of suitors who will willing to fork out the money for his services.
