Pedri, the Barca prodigy, has confirmed that he will represent Spain at the Olympics.
Pedri is unconcerned about the idea that he'll have to play even more minutes in Japan following a long club season and a deep run in Euro 2020, and has assured that he'll be ready to go for next season as well.
"Luis de la Fuente spoke to me before announcing the list for the Olympic Games," he revealed during an appearance on Onda Cero's 'El Transistor'.
"I just love to play football and I'll be happy to keep playing.
"I do, though, understand Barcelona's point of view because I have played many matches. But, I want to tell Barcelona that I'll arrive well-rested."
He went on to say that he is satisfied with how things are going at the Camp Nou and that he hopes Lionel Messi renews his contract.
"I feel valued and appreciated at Barcelona and I hope to be at the club for a long time," Pedri said.
"I hope Messi renews his contract and I'd like to have him as a teammate for another season. I hope he stays, but it's his decision."
