Former Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski has signed for the Polish Ekstraklasa side Gornik Zabrze.
Podolski recently stated his desire to play for the club based a few miles from his birthplace in Gliwice. Despite being born in Poland, Podolski has never played for a Polish club and was capped 130 times by Germany, where his family emigrated when he was two.
The 36-year-old spent the first decade of his career in the Bundesliga before representing Arsenal, Inter Milan (loan), Galatasaray, Vissel Kobe, and most recently Antalyaspor.
Gornik Zabrze are 14-time Polish champions but have not won the title since 1987-88 and finished 10th of 16 teams last season.
