English Premier League side Leicester City is close to signing Ozan Kabak from Schalke this summer.
Reports from Rudy Galetti indicate that the Foxes have clinched the signing of Kabak, who spent last season on loan at Liverpool.
Kabak joined the Reds in the January transfer window on loan and did reasonably well with the Reds failing to sign him permanently despite having the option to do so.
The English ginats instead choe to sign Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig for £35 million but according to the reports, Leicester submitted an official bid of around £8m to sign the Turkish defender earlier this month.
Galetti claims that the bid has been accepted and that final details are being discussed by the two clubs.
The 21-year-old is a highly talented defender and would be a smart signing for the Foxes with his Premier League exposure last month set to help him adapt at the King Power Stadium.
Apart from the defender, the Foxes have already signed Patson Daka from RB Salzburg, midfielder Boubakary Soumare from Lille, while left-back Ryan Bertrand has joined on a free transfer.
The Foxes are set to move for a new midfilder with Youri Tielemans set to join Liverpool and James Maddison being a target for Arsenal.
Leicester City could end up getting Boubakary Soumaré, Ozan Kabak, Ryan Bertrand and Patson Daka for just over £50 million. Even by their standards, that’d be an incredible window.— Zach Lowy (@ZachLowy) July 20, 2021
Throw in a right winger and a contract renewal for Youri Tielemans…that takes it to a 10/10.
