Manchester United will only move for Kieran Trippier if they can find a permanent buyer for Diogo Dalot.
Portuguese Dalot spent last season at AC Milan and it is believed that the Serie A side wants him back even though United's asking price for the player has kept them at bay.
The Red Devils have splashed the cash on Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane so far this summer and are said to be on the market for a holding midfielder something that won't allow them to have the luxury of adding another defender.
Trippier is said to be keen on moving to United as his family resides in the area but Atleti is insisting that they still have the player in their plans for next season.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims the situation is quiet surrounding Trippier, as United wants to work out Dalot's future first.
Milan would prefer another loan deal for Dalot with an option or obligation to buy something that United is still considering.

Atletico Madrid are NOT considering Florenzi as replacement. He’s not even an option. ❌ @MatteMoretto
