Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Bruno Lage expects winger Adama Traore to stay at the club despite Tottenham links.
Adama had been linked with a move to Spurs earlier in the week with Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo said to have been eyeing a reunion with the player.
But with Harry Kane set to stay at Spurs, Traore move to North London looks bleak as Nuno will have to offload some players to create space for the player.
Daily Mail suggested that Spurs want Traore on loan with an option to buy but speaking after Wolves’ League Cup win on Tuesday evening, Lage was drawn on Traore’s future.
When asked if he expects Traore to still be at the club when the window closes, Lage stated: “Yes I think so.”
Since joining Wolves from Middlesbrough back in August of 2018, Traore has s featured on 133 occasions for the Midlands-based outfit, scoring 10 and providing 18 assists.
While questions have emerged about his finishing, the Spaniard completed staggering 160 dribbles in the PL the last term, nearly double the amount of 2nd place Marcus Rashford who completed 88.
