Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a hat-trick on his return to the starting lineup as the Gunners booked a place in the third round of the Carabao Cup with a comfortable 6-0 win away at West Brom.
The Gabon international missed the opening Premier League match at Brentford, and was a second-half introduction against Chelsea last week, but led his side at the Hawthorns in what was a must-win clash.
He opened the scores after just 17 minutes, getting to a rebound inside the box to gleefully rifle the ball low into the middle of the net.
Martin Odegaard could have made it 2-0 five minutes later but failed to find the target from inside the six-yard box, sending his rebound against the left post.
The Gunners had to wait until the 45th minute for their second, and it came courtesy of another rebound, which fell to Aubameyang who could not miss from inside the box.
Nicolas Pepe then gave the Gunners a 3-0 half-time lead with a well-taken goal after receiving a delightful pass inside the box before smashing a low shot into the bottom right corner.
Bukayo Saka made it 4-0 just seven minutes into the second half after Odegaard found him with a neat pass inside the box.

Aubameyang completed his hat-trick just after the hour-mark, connecting with a pass inside the box before slamming home inside the right post.
Alexandre Lacazette then rounded off the win, scoring two minutes after coming on for Granit Xhaka.
Nicolas Pepe displayed great vision and sent a pass to the Frenchman, who showed brilliant composure inside the box to bury the ball into the bottom right corner.
Coach Mikel Arteta has been under immense pressure in recent weeks following a poor start to the new season and will hope the win lifts some gloom off their shoulders.
They next take on Manchester City in Saturday's early kick-off.
